Getting Started

To use CareFree you must first login to the system.

Some users will access carefree from the desktop of their computers whilst other will access it via a web browser. Users who access CareFree from a web browser are on our hosted system.

Hosted is where we look after the system for you, from taking regular tape backups, and running maintenance scripts etc.

Hosted users will have received the website and log in details from our support department.

Once you double click on the CareFree icon it will ask you to enter your username and password, the screen will look like the picture to the left.

If you have branches setup you will then see the branch selection screen:

Branches also sometimes known as patches allow separation of carers and staff, which will be looked at in further detail later on in this wiki.

For now select all the branches if presented, as this will give you access to every carer and client.

Its worth noting that even if we select all branches we can still use filtering within the system to view only select branches. Also branch access can be restricted if the need arises.

The main CareFree screen is then presented:

1) This area is the file menu bar, all the options available in CareFree are under these lists.

2) The CareFree toolbar, CareFree's main features are located on this menu for quick access.

3) The CareFree work bench, items opened from 1) or 2) will load into this area.

4) Notification area, QA warnings, and un-allocated calls can be accessed from here.

There is no need to close tabs, once open you can use the tab option which opens at the bottom of the screen so you can easily navigate between the tools you need.

Use the other sections on the left hand side to learn more about the features available in CareFree.
