Adding Calls

To add calls, you can do this by using the Care Package Wizard or the Rota screen. This article will show how to add calls via the Care Package Wizard.

Please note that to add calls, you must have a client set up and a contract attached

First enter into the client screen by using the top menu bar:

once you are in a record of the persons calls you would like to add, its then a case of using Rotas drop down and selecting Packages:

This then opens the Care Package Wizard:

To use the Care Package Wizard:

  1. Select the days you want the call to run, you can select multiple days here.
  2. Select the option x2 if the call is a double up.
  3. Enter the times using the 24 hour clock method (00:00 - 23:59). For Example, If a call from 1pm for an hour, set the time to 13:00 - 14:00.
  4. Choose the type of the call. Most calls will be set as weekly as it repeats in a weekly cycle but other options are available from the dropdown such as fortnightly, monthly, and rotational calls.
  5. Choose the contract which is paying for this call. Contract will be automatically set if there is only one contract assigned to the client.
  6. Select the needs for this call, the drop down list will provide all needs which have been made available for that contract type.
  7. If you wish, you can select the medication under the Medication header. If the client is taking multiple medications during the call, you might want to choose “Administer”, “Assist” or “Prompt” as a reminder to the carer for what they need to do to help the client with their medication.
  8. If you have selected medication, then select the time group of the medication under Med Time.
  9. If you are using a Electronic call monitoring (ECM) product such as RoadRunner, you can set Alerts under the Alerts header.
  10. In the bottom left of the screen, choose between adding or overriding the current rota. Choosing add will keep the calls currently on the rota and add this new package in addition. Choosing to override will halt all current calls on the rota and replace with the calls in this new package on the date in the top left of the screen. If this care package is for a brand new client, it doesn't matter which option you choose. Also, you can choose for the details of the calls within this package to be added to the notes section of the client.
  11. Press the create button to add the care package to the Rota.
