Shift Pay is a way of paying your Carers for a block of calls, rather than paying for each individual call.

**Break Times** can be set within the CareFree Options and Settings to specify how long a gap between calls is considered as a break.

===== Setting Shift Pay for a Carer =====

1. Open the **Carers** screen\\ 
2. Select the Carer who will be receiving shift pay, then press the **Payroll** tab

3. Change the **Pay Type** field to **Start to Finish**

4. Click **OK** to save the setting

1. Go to **Tools**\\ 
2. Go to **Options and Settings**\\ 
3. Go to **Shared Options**\\

4. Go to **Mileage**

5. Amend the **Break Time** field to the amount of minutes that is considered a break
